Who are we?
Beringea is a leading venture/growth capital investor, with $675 million under management across our UK and US funds, and industry leading returns. Our UK team is comprised of 10 investment professionals working out of our Covent Garden office. We have a close-knit, supportive culture, and are excited about the prospect of expanding our team to help continue to drive the growth of the business.
While we are a sector-agnostic investor, the majority of our investments are in digital media, retail and consumer, and business software and services. Now over 60 companies strong across the UK and US, we are very proud of our portfolio, many of which are consistently recognised as fast growing disruptive market leaders in reports such as the Sunday Times Fast Track 100and the Deloitte Fast 50. Some current highlights across a range of sectors include Watchfinder, Chargemaster, Poq, Blis, and Monica Vinader.
In the last 12 months, we have made 6 new investments and 7 follow-ons, mostly in Series A or Series B rounds, making us one of the most active UK investors. Consequently, we have been recognised as one of the UK’s top investors in both the Scaleup Index 2017 and Growth Investor Awards. 2017 has also seen 7 highly successful exits, delivering an average equity IRR of 25.5%.
