Key Responsibilities

Deal Flow:

  • Identify prospective portfolio companies
  • Meet with and help qualify prospective portfolio companies
  • Complete Deal Evaluation documents for the standardized assessment of incoming deals
  • Maintain prospective company software database
  • Conduct due diligence, market research, customer referrals and reference checks
  • Analyze technical capabilities of the prospective portfolio companies
  • Assess the feasibility of the financial projections, including analysis of sensitivities and return scenarios
  • Assist in the preparation of internal Revel Deal Memos
  • Assist in the preparation of Term Sheets for prospective portfolio companies

Deal Execution:

  • Assist with deep pre closing due diligence
  • Help negotiate terms and work with the Revel team and lawyers to close deals with prospective portfolio companies
  • Prepare deal book

Portfolio Management:

  • Work with back end reporting company to ensure portfolio companies report on time
  • Help craft quarterly write ups for each portfolio company
  • Prepare quarterly reports for each portfolio company
  • Help set agenda and prepare materials for quarterly Partners Offsite
  • Participate in helping portfolio company management with ongoing needs (introductions, brainstorms, capital decisions, etc)
  • Financial analysis for portfolio company fund raises
  • Maintain waterfall analyses for all portfolio companies based on cap tables

Administration & Fund Marketing:

  • Coordinate with accountants and lawyers on an as needed basis
  • Work with vendor to manage backend LP reporting
  • Maintain Twitter account
  • Update Crunchbase and other industry databases
  • Update Website on a regular basis
  • Assist in preparation of Quarterly Newsletter
  • Manage Interns and assign projects

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior experience (2-4yrs) as an Analyst or Associate in investment banking, consulting, or at a VC or PE fund.  Record of sourcing and execution is a plus
  • Intellectual curiosity, especially for new and emerging technologies re-shaping the Internet landscape (Mobile, Marketing Tech, SaaS, AI/ML, Blockchain, E-Commerce, Security, VR and AR)
  • Extensive prior experience performing due diligence
  • Strong financial modeling and Powerpoint skills
  • Strong analytical abilities. You may also have a solid technical education (e.g., BA/ MS Computer Science or Engineering) but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed, hungry and highly collaborative is a must - this is a career track role
